Question: Do the resistance strengths as listed refer to the resistance strength of EACH cable, or to the total resistance level of the three cables together?

Answer:

This question has come up several times so we wanted to clarify. The resistance "strength" listed refers to each individual cable, so for a set of three, the total resistance for the chest expander would be the individual cable's strength multiplied by 3.

For example, the teal cables, listed at 10 lbs. of resistance, represent a total resistance of 30 lbs. when used in the standard fashion of three cables per set of handles.

The blue cables, listed at 90 lbs., represent a total resistance of 270 lbs. when the three are used together. Cables of different resistance levels can, of course, be used together in order to provide a specific poundage rating.
