A few folks wrote in to ask what kind of training can
be done with medicine balls if you don't have a partner.
This is a good question -- partner training can be very
effective but a partner isn't always available so
sometimes you'll have to make due by yourself.
The good news is that you can get a great workout with
medicine balls either way.
Look no further than the most recent issue of Flex
Magazine to see what I mean. This issue has a feature
on wrestling champ Bobby Lashley.
Lashley was a 3-time NAIA college wrestling champ
who now "wrassles" on TV for the WWE.
Anyhow, in this feature you'll find his "Sample Ab Circuit"
which he performs three times per week.
Here's a look:
- 1. Standing medicine ball twists
- 2. Standing figure-eights with medicine ball
- 3. Lying single-leg knee-ups with medicine ball
- 4. Medicine ball crunches on Swiss ball
- 5. Alternating leg/arm raises on Swiss ball
- 6. Hanging leg raises
It says this circuit takes 10-15 minutes.
