Very little maintenance is required for the Gerard Trap Bar. Because the bar is made of high grade steel, it can stand up to quite a lot of abuse. Also,
it is plated with zinc which will not peel or flake, like chrome coatings, which are popular on cheaper pieces of equipment.
We do highly recommend that you keep the bar out of rain and moisture, as prolonged exposure to the elements can break down even the toughest metals.
The knurling may also need to be cleaned every so often, especially if you use a lot of chalk during your workout.
Simply use common sense when taking care of your Trap Bar. Keeping it dry and clean will make it last a lifetime.
