"They Called Him The WIZARD of Weightlifting... "
And He Can Add a Little *Magic*
to Your Training Program
|
If you are a fan of oldtime lifting you've probably heard the name William A. Pullum, but let me tell you
a few things about him that you probably didn't know...
His childhood was marked by sickness and disease - you name an affliction and young Pullum probably had it...
But at the age of 17 something happened which changed the course of his life forever. He had a chance to
watch the famous "Saxon Trio" perform and he was so gripped by their performance of
incredible strength feats that he decided then and there to build up his own strength.
Young Pullum looked up William Slade, a local weightlifting hero who agreed to teach him how to use physical culture
to develop health and strength. Under Slade's tutelage, the once-weak and frail Pullum soon began to grow stronger.
In fact after a year of training, and at a bodyweight of only 8 stone (that's 112 pounds) William Pullum performed
a 2-hands-anyhow lift of 204 pounds, a record at that bodyweight.
With this lift, people began to sit up and take notice.
Shortly afterwards he was instrumental in the establishment
of the British Amateur Weight Lifter's Association (BAWLA) which kept the official records
on 42 different lifts.
Pullum's Two Secrets...
Of course, physical training has always been and should always be a part of every program, but as Young Pullum
learned early on in his career brute strength alone didn't always lead to the biggest lifts... Oh, "STRENGTH" is
certainly important, but Pullum realized there was something more...
It was skill -- skill and great strength was how Champions were made... and Pullum made his
technique in each of the 42 BAWLA lifts razor-sharp.
Over the course of his career William Pullum set nearly 200 records which earned him the nickname "The Wizard of Weightlifting"
-- and the reputation as one of the greatest teachers in all of strength training.

Now Step into the Time Machine and Learn from the Master Himself
Pullum was a Weightlifting Champion many times over, and soon his list of students who won similar successes
began to stretch far and wide. "Pullum's Pupils," as they came to be known, broke record after record...
In the mid-1920's Pullum wrote two classic training books outlining not only some of his methods and how to correctly
perform all of the 42 BAWLA Lifts but also the exact training routines that many of Pullum's star pupils used.
And now, thanks to well-known strength historian Bill Hinbern, you can now learn directly from the master himself with
high-quality reprints of Pullum's two classic training books: | |
