1965 Jr. National Power Lifting Championships and Jr. Mr. United States Physique Program

Here’s something you don’t see every day: a look at the program for the 1965 Jr. National Power Lifting Championships and Jr. Mr. United States Physique Contest held Saturday, August 21, 1965 at Memorial School, West Paterson, New Jersey. If you were in attendance at the physique show, you would have seen Bob Gajda of Chicago, Illinois take top honors. Dennis Tinerino and Jim Haislop took second and third. And as for the “Power Lifting”, this particular contest has the unique distinction of being the very first official National Powerlifting contest EVER held.
