Peter Cyr

Louis Cyr gets a got of ink as one of the strongest men who ever walked the Earth — and rightly so — but he wasn’t the only strongman in the family. Louis had a brother, Peter, who did not inherit Louis’ immense girth, but was still very strong.

Peter, who was billed as “The Middle Weight Champion Heavy Lifter of The World” was promoted as able to lift 681 lbs. off the floor (not specified in what manner), raise a 196-lb. dumb-bell from the floor to full extent of arm above his head, lift 447 lbs. with one finger, and lift 2500 lbs. with the use of a harness.
