The Atlanta Police Department Gym, 1936

Here’s a look into the (extremely well-stocked) Atlanta Police Department Gym, circa 1936. The Atlanta PD was clearly a BIG fan of kettlebell training at this time – I count eight of them in this picture, plus a pair of block weights. This gym was under the personal direction of Edward Rosendahl — the fellow standing on the extreme right. Rosendahl ran two other physical training schools in the Atlanta area.
